DESCRIPTION:
This dataset contains data on birth rate per 1000 population in Estonia in 1920-2020 according to the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics codes of Estonia, status 2020 (NUTS:EST). The number of births has been affected by the economic situation, the Second World War, and the aging of society. In a 100-year perspective, the number of births has significantly decreased, the number of births per 1,000 inhabitants in 2020 was 2.1 times lower than in 1922.
