DESCRIPTION:
This dataset contains data on number of seniors in Lithuania in 1923-2023 according to the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics codes of Lithuania, status 2020 (NUTS:LT). The number of seniors in Lithuania has quadrupled in 100 years. The increase in the number of seniors has been caused by both the increase in life expectancy and the aging of society.
