DESCRIPTION:
This dataset contains data on employment in services in Lithuania in 1923-2020 according to the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics codes of Lithuania, status 2020 (NUTS:LT). The data contain information on the number of employed persons and their share in total employment. In the interwar period, the number of employees was relatively small and corresponded to the structure of the economy. After the Second World War, the number and proportion of the employed gradually increased, reaching 68.7% in 2020.
