DESCRIPTION:
This dataset contains data on number of population in countryside in Latvia in 1920-2020 according to the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics codes of Latvia, status 2020 (NUTS:LV). The rural population increased slightly in the interwar period, decreased rapidly during the Second World War, and continued to decrease gradually both during the Soviet occupation period and after the restoration of independence.
