DESCRIPTION:
This dataset contains data on number of population in cities in Lithuania in 1923-2022 according to the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics codes of Lithuania, status 2020 (NUTS:LT). The number of inhabitants in cities decreased during the Second World War, increased rapidly during the occupation of the USSR, but gradually decreased after 1991.
