DESCRIPTION:
This dataset contains data on number of dairy cows in Lithuania in 1928-2023 according to the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics codes of Lithuania, status 2020 (NUTS:LT). The number of dairy cows increased in the interwar period, decreased during the Second World War and increased from the 60s. From the 80s, the number of dairy cows decreased, in 2023 it was 4 times less than in 1976.
