DESCRIPTION:
This dataset contains data on number of dairy cows in Estonia in 1922-2023 according to the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics codes of Estonia, status 2020 (NUTS:EST). The number of dairy cows increased in the interwar period, decreased during the Second World War and increased from the 50s. In the 90s, the number of dairy cows decreased, in 2023 it was 5,7 times less than in 1939.
