DESCRIPTION:
This dataset contains data on land use in Latvia in 1925-2020 according to the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics codes of Latvia, status 2020 (NUTS:LV). The data are on the total area of agricultural land and arable land, and the area of forests. After the Second World War, the area and proportion of forests gradually increased, covering half of Latvia's territory in the 21st century.
