DESCRIPTION:
This dataset contains data on land use in Lithuania in 1923-2020 according to the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics codes of Lithuania, status 2020 (NUTS:LT). The data are on the total area of agricultural land and arable land, and the area of forests. Data from the interwar period are not directly comparable with the period after the Second World War, as the territory of Lithuania changed significantly. Forest areas have doubled since the Second World War until today.
