DESCRIPTION:
This dataset contains data on meat production (in live weight) in Estonia in 1922-2022 according to the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics codes of Estonia, status 2020 (NUTS:EST). In the interwar period, meat production increased. After the decline in production during the Second World War, it gradually increased, reaching its highest level in the 1980s. This increase was not provided by local fodder but by imported fodder. After a sharp decline in volumes in the 1990s, in the 21st century, the volume of production has increased.
