DESCRIPTION:
This dataset contains data on milk production per cow in Latvia in 1920-2020 according to the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics codes of Latvia, status 2020 (NUTS:LV). In the interwar period, milk yield from a cow increased by a third. During the occupation period of the USSR, milking from a cow reached its highest level in the second half of the 1980s. After a short-term decline in the early 1990s, milk yield from a cow increased and reached its highest level in 2020 (twice as much as in 1990).
